The beauty of utility is why we design. Heavy gauge canvas has been a workhorse for centuries. Hand-dyed hues capture the changing light of warm afternoons. Our triple wash techniques bring out relaxed sun-kissed softness while carefree edge frays remind us to let our hair down. An upscale market tote or weekender travel bag that functions as well as it looks the Hana Boat can sling over the shoulder making for a unique and beautiful carryall. Features include deconstructed edges, premium Vegetable tanned leather, an interior pocket, and a nickel snap closure.
Due to the artisanal and hand-finished nature of the fraying technique, you may experience loose threads that make their way out of the unfinished edges up until the stitching around the edge of the bag. Please trim if necessary!

Our Wool
The best is worth it. We only use Merino Wool Felt because it is the highest quality felt available. Our Merino Wool Felt is made exclusively at two factories in Bavaria, where they have been perfecting their technique for over 100 years. We use OEKO-TEX® dyes on all of our products, making sure they are non-toxic and free of harmful chemicals.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
The Graf Lantz philosophy is classic and simple: Use quality materials and waste as little as possible. Striving to be as sustainable as possible in our manufacturing practice is something we take very seriously. We work hard to ensure every last scrap and off-cut is utilized somewhere in our product line. This follows our ethos that true sustainability begins with the choices we make every day.
Cleaning & Care
Functionality is at the core of what we do, so you can rest assure that all Graf Lantz materials are very, very low maintenance (we didn’t choose them for nothing).
Vegetable Tanned Leather
We use vegetable tanned hides which means our tanning process is free of artificial chemicals products. The vegetable tanning process is one of the oldest methods used to create high-quality leather goods. Hides are soaked in a solution of plant matter (mostly tree bark), which naturally pulls water out and preserves the leather. This process takes up to two months and is watched over closely by skilled artisans.
