"We just ordered a new table and wanted some placemats that would protect it, rather than be simply decorative. (There is a well-known woven cotton one that used to; it's not as sophisticated as these, and reviews same they have been cheapened to the point that they aren't effective protection.) We love these. The colors are cool and the sizes are generous. I was concerned about cleaning. The photos show coffee stains on a coaster we ordered at the same time; a damp wet rag removed the stains quickly and effectively. We are delighted with our purchase."
